Meet Sandy
Sandy Brown's journey reflects dedication and community spirit in Dufferin-Caledon. With deep roots in Caledon, he began his service over three decades ago, coaching youth hockey and volunteering with the Orangeville Lions Club.
Sandy earned a Bachelor of Science from the University of Toronto and built a career in sales and marketing before becoming a trusted local realtor and community advocate in Dufferin-Caledon.
In 2018, he was elected Mayor of Orangeville, addressing fiscal responsibility, social justice, and ecological concerns, overseeing significant changes like a police service transition that saved millions and low tax increases.
Sandy's influence extended beyond the mayor's office; he engaged with organizations like the Orangeville Lions Club, Minor Hockey, and Dufferin Board of Trade, tackling issues like homelessness and healthcare while enhancing local infrastructure.
Even after his term ended in 2022, Sandy remains committed to public service, seeking ways to improve life in Dufferin-Caledon as a community leader.
